Familie Schmoller We want to give our guests these feel-good moments and therefore attach great importance to personal contact. Located in the Salzkammergut near Lake Attersee, we, the Voralpenhotel Schmoller, offer an unforgettable holiday.

We are a modernized but traditional family business. The a la carte kitchen relies on regional ingredients that are freshly prepared every day. Our restaurant offers space for 300 guests in small, cozy rooms. In summer you will also be spoiled in our guest garden. State-of-the-art facilities and outstanding service, embedded in a unique landscape, make your stay an experience.

Our hotel business consists of 65 rooms. We can offer you different categories from single rooms to double rooms, multi-bed rooms and family rooms. Relaxation is promised in addition to the spacious rooms, a newly equipped wellness area, the indoor pool and the hotel's own sunbathing area. A playground and our family rooms with a play corner underline the family-friendly orientation of the hotel.

The rustic dining room conveys a rural flair and is not only known to our regular guests. Local specialties and traditional Austrian cuisine are served. Take a look at our menu and convince yourself of the selection of regional dishes.

Settlement of the lake began over 6000 years ago. People from the Stone and Bronze Ages already lived in prehistoric pile dwellings on Lake Attersee. The remains of the primeval have even been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Lake alpaca enclosure

Nixenfall

According to legend, a beautiful mermaid lived by a waterfall in Weißenbachtal. An easy but worthwhile family hike leads to the Mermaid Falls. The starting point of the hike is the Fachbergbrücke in Weißenbach am Attersee. The path is very well signposted and very popular.

The summer toboggan run in Strobl-Gschwendt on the beautiful Wolfgangsee is the crowning glory of every excursion and every hike. The brisk toboggan ride has been delighting visitors for over 30 years. The sliding fun for the whole family can be enjoyed daily from 10:00 a.m. between May and September.

Golf enthusiasts will find the idyllic 18-hole course of the golf club on the Attersee only a few minutes' drive away. The par 71 course impresses with its strategic design, tricky obstacles and wonderful views. Further golf courses in the lake region can be found in Regau and Weyregg am Attersee.

Wintersport

Discover the winter magic of the Attersee on a snowshoe hike, cross-country skiing or skiing. After all, the small ski area on the Kronberg is only a few minutes' drive from the hotel. The ice skating and curling rinks are also always worth a visit.

The Attersee has been attracting diving friends from all over the world for many years. Diving schools offer an exciting program in the deep blue water all year round: scuba diving, river diving, technical diving, winter diving, courses for beginners and apnea.
