Familie Schmoller We want to give our guests these feel-good moments and therefore attach great importance to personal contact. Located in the Salzkammergut near Lake Attersee, we, the Voralpenhotel Schmoller, offer an unforgettable holiday.

We are a modernized but traditional family business. The a la carte kitchen relies on regional ingredients that are freshly prepared every day. Our restaurant offers space for 300 guests in small, cozy rooms. In summer you will also be spoiled in our guest garden. State-of-the-art facilities and outstanding service, embedded in a unique landscape, make your stay an experience.

Our hotel business consists of 65 rooms. We can offer you different categories from single rooms to double rooms, multi-bed rooms and family rooms. Relaxation is promised in addition to the spacious rooms, a newly equipped wellness area, the indoor pool and the hotel's own sunbathing area. A playground and our family rooms with a play corner underline the family-friendly orientation of the hotel.

The rustic dining room conveys a rural flair and is not only known to our regular guests. Local specialties and traditional Austrian cuisine are served. Take a look at our menu and convince yourself of the selection of regional dishes.

Lake alpaca enclosure

The cute alpacas are normally at home in the South American Andes, but some specimens have found their new home on the east bank of the Attersee. A small, fine herd eats on the lush meadows in Weyregg am Attersee and enjoys the temperate climate.

Nature park

A spectacular mountain and valley landscape unfolds between Attersee and Traunsee, which in 2012 was named the third and largest nature park in the federal state of Upper Austria. The glass valley

The glass museum in Weißenkirchen in Attergau is the starting point of the 2.5 km long themed trail that winds through the wonderful landscape of the Attergau. The path through the glass valley is peppered with numerous opportunities to get to know the material glass.

According to legend, a beautiful mermaid lived by a waterfall in Weißenbachtal. An easy but worthwhile family hike leads to the Mermaid Falls. The starting point of the hike is the Fachbergbrücke in Weißenbach am Attersee. The path is very well signposted and very popular.

Salt worlds

In the salt world in Hallstatt, you can go on an adventurous journey of discovery, deep into the old mines. The start is spectacular on the miner's slide, then it goes deep into the tunnels into the interior of the mountain. The superlative mine is definitely worth a day trip with the whole family.

The summer toboggan run in Strobl-Gschwendt on the beautiful Wolfgangsee is the crowning glory of every excursion and every hike. The brisk toboggan ride has been delighting visitors for over 30 years. The sliding fun for the whole family can be enjoyed daily from 10:00 a.m. between May and September.

Golf enthusiasts will find the idyllic 18-hole course of the golf club on the Attersee only a few minutes' drive away. The par 71 course impresses with its strategic design, tricky obstacles and wonderful views. Further golf courses in the lake region can be found in Regau and Weyregg am Attersee.

Discover the winter magic of the Attersee on a snowshoe hike, cross-country skiing or skiing. After all, the small ski area on the Kronberg is only a few minutes' drive from the hotel. The ice skating and curling rinks are also always worth a visit.

The Attersee has been attracting diving friends from all over the world for many years. Diving schools offer an exciting program in the deep blue water all year round: scuba diving, river diving, technical diving, winter diving, courses for beginners and apnea.

Water sports

The hotel is an ideal base for water sports enthusiasts. In addition to its diving spots, the Attersee is mainly known for the "rose wind". Sailors and those who want to become one can let the north-east wind carry them over the Caribbean blue water.
